Ohio Citizen Action
Rachael Belz is the Executive Director of Ohio Citizen Action (OCA), the premier grassroots mobilizing and organizing team in the Midwest with 32,000 members throughout the state. Ohio Citizen Action organizes and mobilizes people to advocate for public interests. In person, by phone, and online, the group engages people in actions that protect public health, improve environmental quality, and benefit consumers. She’s a leader of the Steering Committee of the Ohio Energy Table, a member of the Ohio Coalition Steering Committee and was elected to the RE-AMP Midwest Network Steering and Executive Committees in 2018. In 2019, Belz spearheaded the formation of the Ohio Consumers Power Alliance, a project of Ohio Citizen Action Education Fund. The OCPA, along with sister organization OCA, is working to expand the capacity of grassroots combating climate change and fighting for consumer rights in Ohio. Belz and her two dogs reside in the Westwood neighborhood of Cincinnati, and considers Ohio home.
